The Montana Department of Livestock has taken up the following estrayed animals. For more information or to claim the estray, please contact your district investigator.

The Montana Department of Livestock has taken up the estrayed animal listed below on the 12th day of February 2026. The animal was picked up from the town of Ashland, Rosebud County, MT.

The animal will sell at Billings Livestock / BLS, Billings, MT., on Thursday, March 12th, 2026.

The animals is described as follows:

  • One (1) black no brand Gelding between age of 7 and 11 years.

The Montana Department of Livestock has taken up the estrayed animal listed below on the 16th day of February 2026. The animal was found at the end of Lone Pine Road near Birdseye, Lewis and Clark County, MT.

The animal will sell at Headwaters Livestock Auction, Three Forks, MT, on the 16th day of March 2026.

The animals is described as follows:

  • One black heifer – unreadable, blotched brand on the left rib, blue tag in the left ear

The Montana Department of Livestock has taken up the estrayed animal listed below on the 12th day of February 2026. The animal was picked up on the north side of Houseman Hill, north of Browning, Glacier County, MT.

The animal will sell at Western Livestock Auction, Vaughn, MT., on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026.

The animals is described as follows:

  • One (1) Black, 2-year-old Heifer, branded K Hangs a D on right hip, white ear tag in right ear with #75 in black letters.

The Montana Department of Livestock has taken up the estrayed animal listed below on the 10th day of March 2026. The animal is suspected to have been stolen from the Marion area of Flathead County, MT., in or about March / April 2025.

The animals is described as follows:

  • One (1) Sorrel Mare, No brand, with Blaze and left hind sock, estimated age of 15 years
