Pullorum Prevention and Control
Information about how to prevent and control further spread of Pullorum.
Pullorum can be controlled and eradicated by humanely eliminating infected carrier birds and thus breaking the disease cycle.
Thorough cleaning and fumigation of incubators between hatches will eliminate carryover of S. pullorum or other pathogenic bacteria, and fluff sampling can be used to monitor of bacterial presence.
