Bovine Trichomoniasis
Bovine trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease of cattle caused by the parasitic protozoan organism Tritrichomonas fetus.. Infection is usually inapparent in bulls, but it can cause early embryonic death and abortion in cows. Bulls, most of which remain persistently infected, are the main reservoir for the parasite. Trichomonosis affects all cattle but is more commonly a problem among beef herds..
