Price Announcements - Current prices

The Montana Milk Control Bureau provides all interested persons with a price announcement around the 10th of each month. This announcement reflects the producer prices for class I, II and III milk, as well as the butterfat and skim prices for all three classes.

Montana producer class I price is set by the basic formula price (BFP) plus $2.55 for transportation costs. Other factors that are taken into consideration for the butter and skim prices are the most recent Chicago area grade A butter price, as reported by USDA, and the latest non-fat dry skim milk price from the central states area.
