Poultry/Hatching Egg Import Requirements
Domesticated birds including, but not limited to, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, pigeons, and pheasants.
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) or VS Form 9-3
All poultry must NOT be vaccinated or exposed to live-virus vaccine within 30 days of import.
- Birds 14 days old or under and hatching eggs: Must originate in flocks or be distributed from hatcheries or premises participating in the National Poultry Improvement Plan(NPIP), or operating under supervision of the Poultry Disease Control Authority of the state of origin & classified Pullorum-Typhoid clean.
- Birds over 14 days old: Have one negative test for Pullorum-Typhoid within 30 days of entry or originate from an official clean flock, hatchery, etc.
